What is an attunement? Reiki, and most healing energies are not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. They are transferred to the student during an attunement process. The attunement procedure is an energetic and spiritual ceremony during which Reiki and other energies’ symbols and specific techniques are used in a prescribed way. This ceremony creates an energy pattern around the recipient, and opens the higher main chakras (to a determined range of healing energy) and the palm chakras. An initiation provides a space for higher spirits to come in and work. People who see spirits actually see that the initiate receives many more symbols than those drawn by the Reiki teacher. During an initiation you are also being worked on by spirit on many levels and throughout you body and chakra system. Each of these attunements is a powerful spiritual experience. The process is guided by a higher consciousness and the subconscious mind. These sometimes make adjustments depending on the needs of each individual. The attunement is also attended by guides and other spiritual beings who help implement the process. Many report having mystical experiences involving personal messages, healings, visions, and past life experiences during an attunement. The attunement can also increase psychic sensitivity and a better ability to manifest. Many often report experiences involving the opening of the third eye, an increased intuitive awareness, a sharper sensitivity to energies around and other psychic abilities after receiving an attunement. With time and practice these abilities will greatly increase as the natural channelling path will open further and sensitivity develop. You may notice a change or shift instantly. But most likely it will be a gradual shift with an accumulative effect will several attunements. Once you have received an attunement, you will have the ability to channel that specific energy for the remainder of your life. It does not wear off and you can never lose it. While one attunement is all you need to be attuned to a specific level, additional same level attunements bring benefit. Experimentation has found that additional attunements of the same level add to the value of that level. Some people are wary of the attunement process, especially when done over distance. This is only natural. However, the initiations are safe. They will only help clear your higher chakras and open them to higher energies. Opening a chakra does not mean being more open to negative energies. It means, on the contrary, that you will be able to channel much higher frequency healing energies which in return will protect you more against lower energies and entities. Besides, the initiations will strengthen and increase the size of you aura, which will offer you even more protection. If you don't actually believe remote attunements work then you can't believe Reiki works at all on any level: it's the same energy and the same transferal process. The best way to go beyond these doubts about distant transfers of energy is to experience them first hand. This is why I offer the Kundalini Reiki attunement (Level 1) free of charge to anyone who requests it by email. The vast majority of Reiki masters know that treatments and attunements can be performed over distance just as well. Only a few people say hands-on attunements are stronger although experience and experiments prove them wrong. Physical contact is not necessary and not used during an attunement and energies can be sent anywhere. This is why distant healing is so powerful. My experience and experimentations found that distant attunements are just as powerful as “hands-on” ones (they should really be called “hands-over” as the teacher works on the etheric body, not the physical). To ensure the attunements I provide are particularly efficient and powerful, I perform each of the Reiki, Seicehm and Golden Dragon attunements three times and group similar higher energy systems together. This not only enables you to channel more energy, but to channel energies of different and complementary frequency ranges. In addition to Reiki and Seichem, I also offer the Healing Order of the Golden Dragon attunements which allow the recipient to channel Earth and Crystals energies, channeling these through the lower main chakras at the same time as channeling Reiki and Seichem from the higher main chakras. This offers more balance in the energy bodies during a healing session which in returns allows channeling more energy in quantity. Receiving an attunement is a very fast, safe and powerful way to grow spiritually and to experience energy. The initiation will open your higher chakras to enable them to channel specific higher frequency energies and at the same time increase the size of your spiritual body, bringing more of your higher self into this world. It will give you an opportunity to feel the energies and therefore make them become real to you. You will also be able to control energies and understand how they have always affected you and others. By offering you the ability to channel healing energies into your own being (during self-healing treatments), you will be able to receive all the benefit of energy healing - see Treatments / What is Energy Healing (Reiki)- It is recommended to have little or no food at all 2-3 hours prior to an attunement (to help you sense the energies more). Also, make sure to schedule the attunement on a day and at a time when you will be less likely to fall asleep. If you do fall asleep, the attunement will still take effect, you will just not have felt it. You will of course still be able to channel energy right after the attunement. Just before the arranged time, settle yourself down in a comfortable position and place where you will not be disturbed for 30 – 45 minutes. Switch off the phone, ask people not to disturb you and play some soft music, if you like. Then simply relax, follow the easy instructions that you will receive by email and be “open” to energies so the attunement can take place. Most attunements run for about 30 minutes, but some are longer and some shorter, so take your time. When you sense the attunement has finished, slowly open your eyes and take your time getting up. During the attunement, you may feel warmth or a light breeze, tingling or numbness. You may see colors or sense a presence around you. Or you may feel nothing at all, sometimes because you are just too preoccupied with what you are doing at the time. Whatever you feel or don’t feel, the attunement will work. Each person will have his or her own individual experience. Your experience each time you receive an attunement may be different. Sometimes, it may be stronger or more powerful than other times. There is no right or wrong experience; there is only the experience. You may have a subtle shift to a profound shift each time you receive a attunement. Just after the attunement, you will probably feel deeply relaxed and deeply tired (although some people feel actually energized…). Take good care of yourself during this time by eating well, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough sleep. Please try not to drink much alcohol or have a big meal on the same day as the attunement will start a chemical “detox” (which mirrors the energetic “detox”). The next day you may either still feel tired or on the contrary, energized. As your energy healing teacher, help and guidance that you may need does not stop as soon as the attunement has been passed and the certificate issued.
